If nature is your thing, this run is for you! From beautiful blooms in the spring and summer months, to fall foliage and holly in the winter, the National Arboretum grounds are open daily (excluding Christmas Day) from 8 am to 5 pm with free admission.

5.  Capitol Hill
Known as one of the best (or worst) for hill training in Washington, DC, many runners take advantage of this “short and steep” hill for a more elevated run. Local tip: The Independence Avenue side has a higher grade and elevation gain!
