1. Case Study Coffee
With three locations around the city, Case Study Coffee prides itself in roasting the highest quality speciality coffees in the city. Voted as “Best Coffee Shop” in the Willamette Week’s Best of Portland poll for the second year in a row, it would seem that the locals agree!

2. Proud Mary
Opened earlier this summer in the Alberta Arts District, Proud Mary is an Australian-style cafe offering all day breakfast, lunch, specialty coffee and tea, smoothies and pastries. As the first US location for founder Nolan Hirte, patrons can expect the same offerings as their big sister cafe in Melbourne, Australia. If you’re lucky enough to be heading down under, we recommend a visit to the original too!

3. Barista
With five locations around the city, Barista is known for serving exceptional coffees from the world’s finest roasters, prepared by the most skillful baristas in Portland, Oregon. Each with a different vibe and story to tell, it’s worth a visit to every shop!

4. Olé Latte
As a food cart (two actually!) Olé Latte has been able keep its focus on what’s important, the people who support them and their place in the community. Featuring a “suspended coffee” program where folks can spring for an extra coffee for an unknown customer in need, Olé Latte is paying-it-forward in Portland.

5. Ristretto Roasters
Roasted in small batches and specializing in a medium roast, Ristretto Roasters has five Portland cafe locations and wholesales to other cafes, restaurants and markets in and out of the city. Their offerings have been known to change with the season, with what the farmers they work with are growing, and of course, with what they love drinking!
